Lina Simons

My name is Lina and I’m a jewellery designer and goldsmith from Helsinki, Finland.

Designing new pieces is my passion and the nature and geometric shapes are my sources of inspiration. My designs are pure but still generous, with a slightly graphic touch. I love to design jewellery that are a slightly three-dimensional, allowing the shadows and the light to play freely.

Silver is my favourite material, there’s just something special about its beautiful luster and smoothness. Every piece is crafted by hand in my own workshop in Helsinki, Finland.

I spend the summers in the Finnish archipelago, where nature gives me strength, energy and inspiration. I love the contrast of the Helsinki city and the archipelago, just half an hour away.

Sadly, we live in a throwaway society. It’s just too easy to buy new cheap stuff, not even reflecting over the fact that they probably won’t last that long. I love the thought of high quality jewellery that can be repaired and polished over and over again. I love the thought of jewellery lasting over generations. I love designing these timeless pieces and to see someone wearing them is my reward.
